"In February 2006 we decided to buy a property on the Costa del Sol but had no fixed idea as to what we wanted and having read the stories in the tabloids about problems encountered with unscrupulous property agents, we were a little wary as to what we were letting ourselves in for. Fortuantely we came across Juliet McCann and her company Evergreen Homes & Investments. When we met her in Marbella for the first time we recognised that this was a professional company and Juliet was a professional who knew her business and was prepared to help us in every way to find a property that we liked. She spent a lot of time discussing our requirements and taking us to numerous properties working out what our priorities were, what areas would suit us and deciding appropriate locations that we would feel happy in. We were most impressed by Juliet's approach in not trying to sell us whatever she felt was suitable but to allow us to make up our own minds and decide what we wanted. She went on to find reputable lawyers and other professionals to ensure the smooth completion of our purchase and once we were ready to settle in, she arranged for tradesmen to carry out whatever works we wanted and spent a great deal of time taking us to various stores and shops to purchase furniture and other furnishing items. Without Juliet's help we would have found it very difficult to get everything together and we are most grateful to her for fer aftersales support, something that we do not find in the UK. Her professionalism, understanding of the area and her commitment along with her vibrant personality is worth a great deal when you are looking to buy a place in Spain but do not know how to go about finding one. "We met Juliet McCann more or less by coincidence when she was still working with her former company. We were looking for a smallish apartment while our dream house was going to be built nearby in La Mairena. Ultimately we ended up with something a bit bigger than intended (spoiled people - always lived in big houses in the tropics) in the same development as Juliet herself. She did an excellent job but that's what is to be expected from a professional.
Our permanent move to Spain and the construction of our house got delayed as I got offered an extension of my contract. We decided to deal with a company which specialised in looking after houses and apartments for those who live overseas and want to (temporarily) let their property. The lady running this organisation was very convincing and we decided to use them in spite of a rather sceptical remark from a Spanish friend. Big mistake. Once they got our money for the first year, they did not follow up on their action items, did not come to appointments we made and in the end did not even answer our telephone calls. In desperation we turned to the person we knew nearby: Juliet McCann, who now had her own company. In spite of her busy schedule she has been very helpful in many ways and this "after sales service" makes her company stand out from the average real estate company.
